The Dustin J. Wells Foundation is a tribute to the legacy of a very special young man. After the loss of Dustin Jack Wells in a car accident in 2005, his family and friends searched for ways to keep his memory alive and allow his life to continue touching others. A fund was set up and the dollars collected are used for the sole purpose of reaching out to others in Dustin's honor.
Since its inception, the Gift of Music benefit concert has had the support of some of music's greatest artists including Dolly Parton, Ronnie Milsap, Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley, Ronnie Dunn, Lady Antebellum, Peter Cetera, Phil Vassar, Little Big Town, Peter Frampton, Lee Greenwood, Kellie Pickler and many others.
Because of Dustin's strong love for music, donating to the W.O. Smith Music School is one way he can be remembered -- by sharing the gift of music with underprivileged children in our community. Since 2008, the Dustin J. Wells Foundation has raised more than $600,000 to help fund the musical outreach programs at W.O. Smith.
